Apple introduced new App Store marketing tools at WWDC 2026 and updated the design kits for iOS 27, while Google added quick access to marketing activities and review history in Play Console. All the key ASO updates from June — in our latest digest.

App Store News

Key ASO Updates from WWDC26

At the beginning of June, Apple held its annual WWDC26 conference, where the company announced several updates to the App Store and App Store Connect that are set to impact app marketing and ASO workflows.

Among the key updates:

New marketing assets for the App Store

Starting this fall, developers will be able to use additional images and videos to promote their apps and games. These new creative assets will appear in product page headers, App Store search results, editorial features, and Apple Ads campaigns.

Asset Library in App Store Connect

Apple also introduced Asset Library — a centralized hub for storing and managing screenshots, videos, app previews, and other marketing assets. Developers will be able to upload assets independently of app releases and prepare them in advance for future updates or Apple Ads campaigns.

Personalized App Collections

The App Store will introduce Personalized Collections — personalized app recommendations based on a user’s interests, downloads, and activity across the Apple ecosystem. These collections will appear across the Apps, Games, and Search tabs.

Apple Updates Design Kits for iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27

Apple has released updated design kits for Figma and Sketch for iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27.

The update includes new Liquid Glass interface components, expanded support for component states, improved resizing behavior, and updated naming conventions to better align with implementation in code.

In addition, Apple has introduced Dark Mode support for macOS components in the design kits for the first time.

For product designers and ASO specialists, these updates make it easier to adapt screenshots, app previews, and marketing assets to the new visual language of the Apple ecosystem ahead of the official rollout.

Google Play News

Quick Access to App Marketing Activities in Google Play Console

Google has updated the main Play Console dashboard with a new Marketing activity section that provides an overview of an app’s active marketing tools and campaigns.

Developers can now track active Events, Store Listing Experiments, Custom Store Listings, and Play Points Promotions directly from the main dashboard, as well as quickly navigate to their configuration and management pages.

The update is designed to simplify access to promotional tools and make key ASO activities more visible within the developer console.

Google Play adds review history

Google has added a new Review History section to Play Console, where developers can view all submitted changes and their current review status.

Developers can track their publication history, see which changes have been submitted for review, and access information about previous releases and metadata updates.
