New requirements for social media apps in Australia
Apple reminded developers in Australia that a law came into effect on December 10 requiring social media platforms to block account registration and usage by users under the age of 16. Developers must deactivate existing accounts of underage users and ensure proper controls for new registrations.
Apple Developer Program License Agreement update
Apple released a new version of the Apple Developer Program License Agreement. The update clarifies requirements across several areas, including rules for recording and privacy, launching voice assistants via the iPhone side button, the use of the Declared Age Range API and other new APIs, as well as requirements related to the Infrastructure Wi-Fi framework.
Developers are required to review the updates and accept the new terms in their developer account.

Trending search queries in Google Play
A new section with trending search queries has been added to Google Play. For each query, additional analytics are displayed, including the period during which the query has been trending and an estimated number of installs generated by that query.
